I am doing one of my sustained investigation questions on how identity is defined, so i got the face of this statue to demonstrate identity.
to start my project I used the pen tool to cut paths into the face to make it look like the face is chopped up. To dod this i created paths and duplicated them to keep the main picture of the head.
Here I did the same thing that I did earlier, but I did it to the top part of the face. The only thing I did here was move the piece further apart and make them diagonal to one another.
Here I filled in the faces with bright vibrant colors. I did this by using the pen tool again, but instead of a path I did a shape and filled in the shape with colors, and after that I put it below the layer so it only showed the top part.
Here I basically did the same thing that I had done on the last image but to the top of the head.
Here I moved the top of the head a little to show the pink and I added a splash of red into the background by using my soft brush tool. The whole reason this goes with how identity is defined id because you don't know someones identity till you get to know them inside and out. This statue looked calm and sturdy, but when he is cut up he shows his vibrant colors which could mean that he is a fun charismatic guy instead. So don't judge a book by its cover.
